Instructor
Emma Lorang
Emma Lorang began dancing at the age of five at Spotlight Dance Academy in Waunakee, Wisconsin, where she trained in ballet, lyrical, contemporary, jazz, musical theatre, and hip hop through both recreational and competitive programs. These early experiences shaped her love for performance and creative expression.
She is a recent graduate of Iowa State University, where she earned a degree in Journalism and Mass Communication with minors in Digital Media and Dance. While training under Cynthia Adams and Janice Baker, Emma was deeply involved in the university’s dance community. She served as a choreographer and publicity officer for Orchesis I Dance Company, a 100-year-old modern dance company, as well as a choreographer and president of the Motion Sickness Dance Team. She was honored to receive the Evelyn Jensen Achievement in Outreach Award, which recognizes her ability to “transmit dance knowledge and skills to a variety of people through performance and teaching.”
In addition to her dance background, Emma has extensive experience in media production. She has worked in sports broadcasting and live video production, most recently with Iowa State University’s Cyclones.tv, contributing to both in-house productions and ESPN broadcasts for various sports. She also has hands-on experience creating content for live events and digital platforms through videography and photography.
Emma is excited to bring her passion for movement, teaching, and storytelling to Studio 360. She looks forward to inspiring young dancers to explore movement, build confidence, and discover the joy of creative expression in a positive, fun, and supportive environment.
